Gillette Auto Body presently performs Direct Repairs for several insurance companies. Some of these insurance companies include Safeco, Tower Group, Liberty Mutual, Harleysville, Peerless Insurance and Nationwide as well as many others.
A ‘Direct Repair’ is when the insurance company lets you select from a list of shops that they will guarantee the work to your satisfaction. We have provided below a list of some of the insurance companies that we work with on the ‘Direct Repair’ program. Rental Car Information
Gillette Auto Body does not offer loaner vehicles while your vehicle is here being repaired. We refer all of our customers who need a rental vehicle to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. They can meet you here with a vehicle when you drop yours off and upon completion of repairs you simply leave the rental vehicle here. We try to make things very simple and convenient for you. Most rentals that are done through a “Direct Repair” process are billed directly to the insurance company. If you are not going through a ‘Direct Repair’ process you may be billed on your credit card for the rental. You will then have to submit a copy to your insurance company for reimbursement. We also offer to our customers who are not getting a rental vehicle and are local, the option to have us take you back to your home or work. We may also locally pick you up when your vehicle is completed. Arrangements need to be made ahead of time for this service.
Scheduling an Appointment
Have your car checked out after even a minor accident. The whole body can become distorted in a collision, even minor body misalignment can affect performance and safety. The corrosion process can quicken if nicked, dented or scratched.
Appointments for estimates are made Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 11:30am – and then again from 1pm to 4:00pm for anyone who is going through a ‘Direct Repair’ process with their insurance company. We are available on
Saturday from 9am – 12pm for estimates only. Appointments are made to guarantee that an appraiser is here when it is most convenient for you. A ‘Direct Repair’ is when the insurance company lets you select from a list of shops that they will guarantee the work to your satisfaction. If you are not having your repair done through a ‘Direct Repair‘ process, we do have an appraiser here that can do your estimate. However, the hours are slightly different: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 3:30pm and Wednesday from 8am to 1130am. Saturday appointments are also available for estimates only, from 9am – 12pm. We recommend that you call before you are coming to verify that he will be here.
*If your vehicle is 10 years or older we are required to charge a $35.00 estimate fee that is refundable only when the repair is done. This does not apply to ‘Direct Repair’ claims.
